What can we say about Cocoa...well...in one easy word? FABULOUS!! This girl is everything any good pit bull should be. She is friendly, sweet, outgoing, playful, fun...She has excellent toy drive (anyone want an agility, flyball, obedience ro weight pull dog?) without being over the top or too energetic. She is excellent with all humans and currently lives with young children and knows how to be gentle...she's just an all around great dog. And the icing on the cake? she is drop dead georgous. Who could ask for anything more? She is also good with cats and could be managed with another dog in a breed savvy home. Cocoa is 3 years old, spayed, vaccinated, all that good stuff. This little chamrer is Rizzo. Rizzo is a 4 month old pup who appears to be a Pit Bull mix..maybe mixed with a heavy dose of so cute she can get away with it? Which is why Rizzo is seeking a family who will mold and guide her to be the good dog we know she is. With firm but gentle training, Rizzo has a very promising future as the worlds greatest dog. Rizzo is currently learning some doggy manners and appropriate interactions with others. She is getting an axcellent foundation that will serve her well. She would like a family who will take her through obedience training and can excersize her regularly. She LOVES Kongs and Wubbas. She is crate training. She is learning to be housebroken. All YOU have to do is follow through. How can anyone resist this face?

and she is just stinking adorable. Meet Dotty. Dotty is a lucky gal who was picked up as a stray by good samaritans. When those same Samaritans found out Dotty's time at the shelter was up and no one had claimed her, they ran right out and adopted her to save her life. And now they are trying to find Dotty the perfect home.

Dotty needs to be an only pet or in a bully savvy home who can keep ehr seperated from others. She would like all the attention for herself. She is crate trained, housebroken and knows basic obedience. She LOVES people of all ages and would be just thrilled in a house full of kids.

We don't know Dottys past but judging from the condition she was found in, it was not a happy one. But despite the scars on her body, her heart is all bully lovin'.

 Lilly is approximately two years old. She is VERY sweet and gentle. Lilly got a fairly rough start in life but plans to make up for it now. She knows some basic commands and is housebroken, crate trianed and walks well on a leash. Now all she needs is a family to show off what a good dog she is! We are calling her Sky's Mini me..or maybe she is the mirrored image since her eye patch is on the right? She is 50 pounds but needs to gain a couple. Adoption fee $150.

This dog is just the sweetest. she is SUCH a good girl. Even in the chaos and hubbub of the shelter she was unflappable. And when her leash was handed over to me she hopped right into my van (and right into shotgun position) for teh ride home. She is super easy going. Not fond of the whole crate thing but will learn. Apparently lived with cats and a chihuahua. She may need surgery downline but right now we are putting her on supplements and getting the excess weight off of her. Judging from her overall condition, she has probably had that bad knee for a LONG time. It doesn't slow her down, she just walks funny. this is a super dog. She really is a complete gem. I look forward to giving you guys lots of updates. Without further ado, here is Sky-Belle. Who will be Annabelle. (she could REALLY use a sponsor!!)

Sky is appropriate with other dogs, good with cats. Great with humans of all ages.

Sky is eventually going to require surgery for a luxated pattella. And we could really use some assistance accomplishing this. You could not ask for a more deserving dog.

Dear Charlotte is everything you would expect from a lab plus a little extra. She is great with other dogs, ignores cats, and is just an all around good girl. Such a good girl her previous owner apparently rewarded her with food. Alot. Charlotte is a tad overweight. Ok..Charlotte is obese. But a healthy diet and excersize will fix that. Her bloodwork was completely unremarkable so it is NOT a health issue. It is a feeding issue. She also has premature cataracts. But she is oblivious to her issues. She is a fun loving and sweet gal. 3 years old, great with everyone and everything.Could use some brush up on her manners as she is a little silly at times. But has wonderful manners in the house. Housebroken and well behaved. Chipped, vac'ed and spayed and ready to go go go!!

 

Farrah is a super sweet and gentle 2 year old pit bull mix. She has two sides to her..a loving and quiet house dog who knows just how to be a lady..then there is goofy Farrah who LOVES kids. Farrah is an ideal family dog. She would be good with kids big and small. Good with cats. So far good with other dogs big and small. She can be playful and silly or she can be demure and laid back. She DOES dislike the camera but we managed some good pics anyways. Farrah is truly an insta dog. Already has some basic training and manners in place. Clearly a dog ready for the right home. MUST have a securely fenced yard.

 

 

Well what can we POSSIBLY tell you about Norman. He is a big, goofy, sweet, well behaved dog. (ok..sometimes he is a bit of a dork) Norman knows his basic commands, LOVES people of all ages and is just an all around great guy. He loves going for rides and walks. Crate trained, housebroken, he is just..good. NO kitties for this big guy. But he would be ok with another dog about the house. He is recommended for older children only simply because he is a big guy that is clueless of his size and strength (think lap horse) He is looking for an active family that will insure he gets plenty of excersize and in return..he will do anything you ask. He even knows a few tricks and thinks agility is pretty fun! Neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and ready to go.

Chipper is a VERY sweet and very tiny (4 and a half pounds) little chihuahua boy who came from California. Chipper is estimated to be between 5 and 7 years old. He is crate trained and has come a long way towards being housebroken. Good with dogs his size and with cats. Will NOT be adopted to a home with small children so do not even ask. No children under ten period.

Chipper DOES have some drawbacks. Although sweet and overall healthy, Chipper has a genetic defect which causes him some difficulty of use in his back legs. He does not appear to be in pain nor does it stop him from getting around. It simply makes him walk a little funny and requires him to be kept at the lowest weight that is healthy for him. He would do best in a home with no stairs to negotiate. Adoption fee $100. Neutered, vaccinated, chipped.

Trinket is a darling little 15 year old lady who was taken in a neglect case. She was one of several dogs who were covered in fleas, infected teeth, hair loss...but she is an odd combination of doted upon pet and neglected little thing. She loves to be toted around and snuggled. She expects you to either hand feed her or at least talk to her while she is eating. She needs to eat soft food as she is now nearly toothless after a desperately needed dental. She needs to be in a home with no children. A loving senior who is happy to just hold and love her would be ideal. In spite of everything she is in overall decent health. Heart and lungs are fine. She is just a little light on the hair front and lacking in teeth. but certainly not lacking in love! Adoption fee $75. Application and home check required.

Tango says, "do a little dance! Make a little love!" he is there! Tango is a very sweet (not to mention incredibly good looking) man looking for the right place to hang his hat. Tango knows his basic commands, walks well on a leash, and is a darn good listener for those needing someone to confide in. He will just lean on you and let you divulge your life secrets. Tango passed his doggy and his kitty test but would probably chase if a kitty ran. He would do best as an only dog or with a compatible female.  Alfred is a CHARMING mature pit bull who knows his house manners including being housebroken and crate trained. He is pretty low energy but loves to do everything with a tennis ball in tow. Alfred knows his basic commands. He is good with cats but is dominant with other dogs so should be an only dog. He is EXCELLENT with humans of all ages. As in good bully should be. Alfred does have a bum hip which is improving with supplements and some weight loss. The hip does not appear to bother him and the vet believes it is from an old injury. Perhaps hit by a car in his previous life? Alfred is a laid back guy who would really love a couch of his own. He will not disappoint you!
